Terms of Service
These terms cover the Memecast AI iPhone app, its App Clip and this website. Memecast AI is run by Malik Ghani (“we”, “us”). By using any of them you agree to these terms, so please read them. They are written to be plain.
1. The service
Memecast AI makes short videos by putting your face into a meme clip with AI, and can change the voice in it. To make memes you sign in with Apple or Google, and you need an iPhone and an internet connection. You must be at least 13 years old to use it. Scenes, voices and features can change, and we may add or remove them at any time.
2. Using it fairly
Only use your own face, or the face of someone who has agreed to it. The same goes for voices. Don’t use Memecast AI to make or share anything that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens or humiliates anyone;
- promotes hate against people for who they are;
- is sexual or nude;
- involves a minor: never upload a photo of anyone under 18;
- impersonates a real person to deceive anyone, or passes AI output off as real footage to mislead;
- is illegal, or infringes someone else’s rights, including their privacy and their image.
Don’t try to get around the daily allowance, break or overload the service, reach other people’s data, or copy the service or its catalogue by automated means.
3. Your photos and voice
You keep every right you have in the photos and voice recordings you give us. You let us store them, process them and send them to the companies named in the Privacy Policy only as needed to make your memes and run the service. The Privacy Policy says what is collected, who handles it and how long it is kept.
Scenes come from existing clips that belong to other people. We give you no rights in that footage, or in the likeness of anyone who appears in it. Share what you make for personal, non-commercial fun.
4. What the AI makes
Memes are made by AI and the result can be inaccurate, odd, or not look like you. Every meme is synthetic. You are responsible for what you make and for sharing it responsibly: with the consent of anyone in it, and never in a way that could mislead people into thinking it is real.
5. Free, Pro and billing
- Memecast AI is free to start, with a daily allowance of memes. Memecast Pro, a subscription, gives a larger daily allowance. Both allowances are daily limits, and we may change them.
- Pro is billed by Apple to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, at the price shown in the app.
- It renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in the iOS Settings app, under your name, then Subscriptions.
- Deleting your Memecast AI account does not cancel Pro. Apple keeps billing it until you cancel it.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s rules.
- Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app.
6. Your account
Your account is how you sign in with Apple or Google, so keep that account secure. You can delete your Memecast AI account at any time in the app, under Account › Delete account, and your memes are deleted with it.
7. Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or remove a meme, to protect other people or the service. You can stop using Memecast AI at any time.
8. No warranty, limited liability
Memecast AI is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don’t promise it will always be available, error free, or produce a particular result.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, and our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid for Memecast Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
9. Changes and contact
If these terms change, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Using Memecast AI after that means you accept the new terms. Questions go to Malik Ghani at hi@malikghani.com.
